I think it is an Epiphone Coronet.

Without a picture of the exact guitar you are asking about it is hard to say.

There are a few vintage models with that same body shape. Olympic, Wilsher, and Crestwood.

The Coronet was re-issued in the early 90's I don't know about the others.
