2 new tunes and CD coming soon of my solo stuff
Electric this time!
This is a tune I'm doing for my CD. I redid it all last night to facilitate the Variax.
The intro guitar is a '60 Telecaster with the bridge pickup. The rhythm guitars under the solo parts is a '56 Gretsch Silver Jet fingerpicked, and the solo parts are the '60 Telecaster again. On the verses you can hear the Gibson Banjo model the Variax does panned 25% to the left, and a Martin '59 D-28 panned 25% to the right.
All guitars are recorded with the Line 6 POD XT. The intro guitar is a Matchless Chieftan with a bit of reverb added to the track via Protools. The Rhythm guitars under the solos are a Budda Twinmaster with some MXR Compression, and the solo guitars are a Vox AC-30 with my Ibanez Tube Screamer in front of it, and compression on the back end. The banjo and the Martin acoustic are recorded through a patch that I made that facilitates a tube preamp with a tiny bit of echo.

Hope ya dig! I'll do a harder track to show what the Variax can do in a rock setting on the weekend.
This next tune is a song I did on my strat, tele, and Les Paul with the POD.
