Post Heart of a Lion tuning
Well guys, it's been a while since I posted here....

I'm trying to learn Heart of a Lion from Second Heat and I notice it's not in standard but it's not exactly in Eb either. I'm using Transcribe but I just can't seem to get a happy medium so I don't sound too out of tune when I play along with it.

Does anyone know, approximately, how far down Paul and Bruce had tuned?

i have the scans of the whole Second Heat album on pdf which was done by a Japanese transcribe and according to the scans yes it tuned Half-Step down.. Yes it is in Eb tuning but in B chord shape so A-string 2nd fret, D-string 4th fret, and G-string 4th fret.. thats the chord it starts with but in Eb tuning.. I hope this helps

Can one not isolate an open string in Transcribe, punch that through a digital tuner and find out what the pitch is?

dont know..i just transcribe
that album is all in Eb but the cents needs adjusting..varies from -35 to -40 if i recall..in the transcribe app ull see the cents option in tuning
after u get the right pitch u can also extract it via transcribe in the adjusted tuning and save it ta convert to mp3 if u want

good luck
