Post Yes
I searched for a thread on the band Yes, but didn't find one. So, I'm starting one.

I don't have many Yes albums so far, but like what little I have heard. Most of what I've heard is from the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Does anyone have any recommendations for which Yes albums to get first?

Maybe you should start with "Fragile" because Roundabout is one of the best songs ever. accidentally there is a version of paul on his vibrato album.

I always liked the Yes Album a lot.

Not an expert on the band, but that's one of their most famous ones.

I've got Fragile on cassette.

Oops. Edited the wrong post. Oh well.

Since I last posted in this thread, I've listened to Yes a good bit more and I've undoubtedly listened to Yes more than Asia now.

Post Re: Yes
My favorite albums by Yes are Close to the Edge and Fragile. This opinion is unlikely to spark any revolutions in the prog community, but I think those two albums epitomize everything I like the most about Yes: harmonies, epic momentum shifts, full instrumentation, and quirky time changes. I'd say with total confidence that I prefer Yes over Asia, and on an unrelated note, I would side with Genesis over Yes.
