I love how Paul seems to switch guitars almost as soon as his guitar is able to be bought by the mass consumer. :P

I love his tone with the single coils, personally. I think it's one of the best tones I've ever heard. Although the tones on GOOMY were amazing. But this is the best tone I have ever heard. So distorted but with amazing clarity. Although his tone with the PGM301 style guitar is also amazing.

With that said, I think he could make a £50 strat copy through the cheapest of solid state amps sound great...

Christ, he has that set up weird. I've never seen that string gauge in a single set before. :S Sure it plays wonderfully though. I wish I lived in the US so I could get one for a sensible price.

One of my friends at GIT saw it up close. It's actually a Korina fireman with the same pickup configuration as the red one (Two injectors and an Area 67), and it's not cream, it's actually Yellow, and Paul said he was inspired by the Old TV- era yellow Les Paul Juniors, with a matte finish. Oh and the knobs and pickups are black :-)

Post Re: Mass Production Fireman
Hello,

Thank you for noticing my newest Fireman guitar!

It's actually mahogany, but painted yellow, so the grain is hidden. I originally had some soapbar style pickups in it. They looked really cool, and sounded good in a couple settings of the 5-way switch. But I really like the DiMarzio Injector - Area 67 - Injector combo in every combination of the 5-way switch, so I went back to that. I'm still playing my factory FRM100 (the red one) all the time. The size and shape of the neck is really perfect on that one.

But it's always fun to mess around with a new color. (You wouldn't believe how many different Fireman designs I've made in Photoshop. It's like an addiction...)

Rock Your Electric Brontosaurus!

Paul

I saw a recent Interview ( from last year, I think) where Paul says he had about 80 guitars...

With the new Fireman prototypes, I'd say p close to 100.

Yellow's not really a colour I'd go for, but that's sweet. Also, Paul's hairline is pretty badass for his age.
