Best news of the year so far.

just hope the album lives up to the reputation of this legend. At least we know the riffs are going to be killer!! I just have my doubts about Ozzy and Ward, as far as the state of their performance goes.

The Devil You Know album was killer. One of the best heavy metal albums I heard in the past years.

I think it's no doubt Tony Iommi can still create some of the most badass riffs of all times!

I´ll anxiously waiting for the South American dates :chew:

this is really one of the best things ive ever heard. i hope rubin tells ozzy not to use the vocal effect stuff ... scream wasnt really an good album.

the devil you know was good like all sabbath-dio stuff but i hope they return to a more vintage guitar sound...

anybody heard about the classic four thing ? ive heard that an english promoter- if i remeber correctly- wants to organize a tour including maiden, sabbath, priest and motorhead... like the big four tour with metallica slayer megadeth and anthrax... ?

There were some early ideas about that being tossed around, mainly attributed to Rob Halford, I think. I don't know if anything has solidified into a plan, though. It would be awesome, but there are other bands that should get involved in a tour like that: Diamond Head, Saxon, Venom. Why stop at four? :)

When Black Sabbath with other lead vocalists performed Ozzy-era songs live, they didn't sound the same. The texture of the songs was different.

What particularly comes to mind is recordings I've heard of Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio performing Ozzy-era songs live.
