I picked up a copy at his CD release show last night. He always puts on a great show, but last night he brought his A game and blew away my fairly high expectations for him. His new songs sound great too.

I have the CD. He plays and does everything except some vocals and percussion. Simply amazing :)

What was so special about the performance?

He sounded awesome. His playing is always good, but his playing was amazing. I think he has gotten better since he stopped using a pick. His whole band was playing great. I think this was the first time I've seen him have a keyboard player in his band. It probably didn't hurt that the show was at a bar and had a small club feel that you don't get at many larger venues. It was supposed to be at the House of Blues in Hollywood, but they were double booked and cancelled a few days before the show.

Cool.

I saw Richie in March, and his playing was unbelivable!

The only thing that was a little bit of a bummer for me was him not interacting with the crowd at all.

Thats normal for him. I've never seen him speak much on stage.

^^Yeah, he's not exactly one for interacting with the crowd much, or hanging around afterwards. I guess he's just shy or something.

I can't wait for his new album :) I love Kotzen's other albums.

^^There's a stream of the new album.

I'm planning to order one of Richie's CDs when I can afford to.

I'm unemployed right now, my grandmother's in bad health and going down hill fast, and I'm not even going to bother looking for a job right now, because I think something's about to happen.
