 Re: Lou Reed / Metallica
I think it's original. It's new, so I gotta give credits to Metallica for trying to explore new things in music.
But I still think it's pretty boring, and that I wouldn't really listen to it. Can't say I hate it though.

And despite cringing at just the thought of a new Metallica album, I LOVED Death Magnetic. I place it side by side with Ride the Lightning and ...And Justice For All. Fucking loved it.

I think I heard 1 song on that cd that sounded better than any recent stuff I've heard, but given their track record as of late, I just kind of wrote it off. I'll see if I can give Death Magnetic a listen.

I really like the new instrumental, the first track of the album, and a couple of others here and there, Death Magnetic is a great album.

 Re: Lou Reed / Metallica
Gotta give them credit for finding a way to combat music piracy, after hearing that I don't think there'll be quite so many people downloading it

^^Disclaimer, what is heard can not be unheard.^^ I tried to go into it with an open mind and wanted to listen to it all. I got just over half way through before I couldn't take it anymore and just gave up

TORTURE
I was hoping to find something interesting, maybe thinking that "one" song could be the worst from the album, BUT, it is just as crappy as the other songs.
What a waste of time.

There is a really good remix of The View, much better than the original: www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZsp3VMUrcs

 Re: Lou Reed / Metallica
Haha I wondered how long it would be before someone did that.
I really hope at the next Metallica gig people bring tables along and crowd surf them around xD This album sucks so hard. Interesting concept, mangled horrible execution.

 Re: Lou Reed / Metallica
It would make more sense to me for Lou Reed and David Bowie to collaborate...
...wait, they already did. Never mind.
