Congrats man, I'm sure everyone else on this board would have wanted that axe....... still, 2K seems very cheap in my view!!!

Haven't posted here in a while, but I came back just to say: Damn you! I wanted it :P
Nah, congrats man.. I don't have 7k to spend anyway :(

Atleast you'll restore it to it's original look, which was much better IMO. That's what we all stared at for hours and hours on IR2

Pics!!!!

The guitar arrived yesterday. It's in very good shape. The neck is good and there is almost no fret wear. The frets are huge jumbos. The neck is much chunkier than my PGMs, more like my tele. The fretboard is a lovely birdseye maple. The seller told me that the switch tip broke on the way from Paul to him, so I've ordered a replacement DiMarzio tip in aged white. The pickups sound pretty good. I asked Paul what they are and he said he couldn't remember. From photos I've seen in magazines, the current pickups have been in there for many years already. I still think that I will replace them with some white PAF Pros. Anyway, here are the pics!

AWESOME! Now somebody needs to purchase Paul's Ibanez Epiphone and post some good pics!
BTW are you going to take the Star Stickers off? If it were me I would take the stars off, but
leave the "Get out my yard" on the back.

Guitar Looks great with your Collection there too!

That is indeed the current plan. Haven't decided 100% tho, as all of the recent pics with Paul include the stickers.

just my 10 cents
do not change a thing, as it is exactly how PG LAST used it!! and it's 'GOOMY' artwork on it done by PG.
i get so many jerks on YouTube say 'where is/put back /why did you remove the Kahler tremolo!
having specific album art on it hand done by PG is just so cool.

i still have the tape with the description on!
Image
i remember how exciting it was when i undid the case for the first time :D

you're a lucky dude, ROCK!

The ghostrider looks so awesome, you must be feeling over the moon. Now all you have to do is perform the speed picking bit of IRII in Gminor

P.S. You must be one organised fellow, all your guitar mags are carefully stowed away! Mine end up scattered through the house!
