In fact, I've listened to tunes off 4 out of 5 of the albums Paul listed in the last month.

My top five then and now 1. Van Halen - Van Halen 2. Screaming for Vengeance - Judas Priest 3. Back In Black - AC/DC 4. Master of Puppets - Metallica 5. Diary of a Madman - Ozzy The order may have fluctuated slightly and the number 5 spot might change from time to time (Fair Warning might replace Diary). But it is essentially unchanged.

Re: Paul Gilberts 5 favourite albums
My favourite albums from 20 years ago are still my favourite albums, the list has just grown. Paul would likely still consider those records to be among his all-time favourites. I mean, why not? But with the passing of time, hopefully, one's appreciation for other albums/bands/music grows.

Funny You mention "Fair Warning" Doc..... It would have TOTALLY given VH1 a run for its money, but to this day I'm so pissed that they couldn't put anything better than "Sunday Afternoon In The Park" and "One Foot Out The Door" on that album... And I'm only cutting some slack for "Push Comes To Shove" because it has one of my favorite EVH solos on it otherwise its junk too....

Re: Paul Gilberts 5 favourite albums
Does anyone know anything about #5 on Paul's list? Don't think I've ever heard it (or even heard of it).

Re: Paul Gilberts 5 favourite albums
The best source of information about the band is going to be Paul, because he knows who he was referring to... a quick email to him would probably answer the question with the least amount of doubt. :) A -very- brief search for the band online turned up: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Streetshttp://www.myspace.com/thestreets+ stuff on AOL music, Rhapsody, etc. Does it sound like something he'd enjoy, given the other 4 nominees? If so, you've found #5! Happy hunting. :) --- --- ---

Re: Paul Gilberts 5 favourite albums
It can't be that one. "Years active 1994– 2011" I think Paul's talking about this band instead.

Re: Paul Gilberts 5 favourite albums
@ Simon: I believe you're correct! Especially since one of the guys was in Kansas. I couldn't check any of those links because for some reason, only http://www.google.com and this website were working! My 'net connection is still acting strange. YouTube's not working, etc. Pardon my bad post (with incorrect info). I'll see if I can get it deleted or edited. --- --- ---
