 Fireman Custom Spotted
I found this on Facebook. It is a beautiful custom Fireman. (* not an Ibanez - it's like Sharpant's - made by another luthier) It's very tasteful and pretty, so I figured I'd share it here. You guys appreciate a fine-looking guitar when you see it, so here you go. The owner's name is Daniel Cohnitz. Here is his description. "My version of Paul Gilbert's Fireman, built by "Sign-Guitars" in Aachen, Germany. Thanks to Paul for the idea to turn an Iceman upside-down. This is a great-looking guitar!" (I hope that photo shows up. If not, now you have his name, so you can contact him to beg for more guitar picture pr0n.) If the pic doesn't show up, what it looks like to me is: of course the Fireman shape, an eggshell white/pale beige painted body w/matching painted headstock, black body binding, white pearloid pickguard, maple? fretboard, custom mother-of-pearl? fret marker inlays, 2 humbuckers, 5 various knobs and 1 switch, and black string saddles/nut/etc. hardware. Any of that could be incorrect; I am not a guitar expert, contrary to what just cropped up in Google today. (got a good laugh though - at least the Internet is ever-entertaining!) ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~

 Re: Fireman Custom Spotted
Quality workmanship, but the FR with the fireman doesn't do it for me, it reminds of a Les Paul with an FR - some things are sacred!
That said, the colour looks great and the binding is awesome....

 Re: Fireman Custom Spotted
All these custom Fireman's (Firemen?) look nice.
Tells me that Ibanez might want to introduce an affordable production model.

Tells me that Ibanez might want to introduce an affordable production model. Exactly! Each person must be paying £1000ish minimum for each guitar so release the Fireman at that kind of price then surely they would sell loads to the people too lazy/untrusting/unable to find a luthier?

Maple fretboard MMMMM now that I could drop some money on!! Minus the inlays, maybe change the color, and no floyd.

It's from a German Workshop, so labor costs are high
