Huge bummer...

I'm devastated. The thing is I'm not even sure I'll be able to sell it (which might be a good thing)

Aside from the board members on here I don't know if there would be many people who would be interested in a replica at a fraction of the price of the real thing.

Depends how much you want for it. The downside of owning a custom guitar is that noone wants to buy it. And when someone does they usually offer small amounts of money (raisins?). I know because I have one and I bought it 2nd hand for 1/3 of its value.

If you want offers expect low ones. I'd recommend holding on to the fireman and sell your PGM's. When you get some extra cash you can buy them again, there's quite a few out there. Jaden's Fireman is one of a kind though....

Wow, sorry to hear that sharpant. :(

I second everything Lamer has said. Try to hang on to that Fireman since you won't get as much resale value on it (which doesn't even measure the actual value that guitar is worth to you).

To be honest there's no way I could stomach letting it go for less than £1000.

I'd never sell my 301 as it has the lacquer coating and amazing signature / drawing.

With the release of Paul's new album now is probably the best time to do it :\

Sigh...this sucks.

Or forget about the car and get a bicycle. Or walk, that's what I do. It's cheap and good for you...

Probably a stupid question, but why not sell your pgm's instead if you don't play them as much?

I would soooo take that fireman off ur hands if I had cash. Sadly I do not. :(

Why did the video get taken down? I'd seriously consider paying more than raisins, but most people would want to see video first.

Dude, if you sell that thing you will regret it...... and as everyone else has said, because it was a custom build, you are going to have to take a serious haircut on price......

Are there no other options? Parents, loan??? if you've just graduated and are going to get a job shortly, this is going to be a temporary thing $$ wise......

Good luck and I hope it doesn't come down to this!

Cool vids, good to hear you're going to try to find way around selling it. If you change your mind and need to unload it you can fire me off a PM and I'll give you a reasonable offer for it.

Ant,

you should really not sell the Fireman. that thing is one of a kind and it was made especially for you. not to mention you won't get a good price for it, second hand.
you should definitely think about selling the 500. as one of the more rare PGM models, it still holds some value and you could easily get close to 1000 for it.

i know the 301 is tricky since Paul signed it and did the cool drawing on it for you. i can't remember...is the autograph personalized? if it is, you can probably forget about selling it because i don't think anyone would buy a guitar signed for somebody else. but if it isn't...dude, it's not like Paul draws a cool picture for everyone else when he gives them an autograph. that could easily get you the price for of a new 301 and then some.

but you may want to consider alternate forms of transportation. i'm sure public transit is better there than in Los Angeles.

Some very very bad news guys :(

My brother has just accepted a job offer in Newcastle and is therefore taking the car with him. We've always shared the car but technically he bought it and it's therefore his...

Him going to Newcastle means I've got no car. I can't live without a car at the moment either...

I've just listed so much stuff on ebay, my pc, blu-rays, dvds, monitors and everything i have that I can sell but I'm not going to have anywhere near enough to buy a car :(

I can't believe I'm about to say this but I may have to consider listening to offers for my custom fireman. I love the damn thing, I play it more than my PGMs but it looks as if I'm left with no choice. I can't even save up for a car as I've just graduated and am job hunting.

I really really don't want to sell this guitar but I haven't got much choice :(

Only 5 mins ago I made a thread about Paul's red fireman to have my brother come upstairs and tell me he has got a job in Newcastle...

Oh fff

Jobseekers allowance, try and get it.
Hope you sell that gaming PC soon.

Perhaps live on a tattier fphone than you do now? That is if you have a spangly phone or something.

Come on, some cars can be found dirt cheap in some places. An MOTable car that would be otherwise gone for the scrapper? Come on, there has to be something bro. Try. I'll give a heads up on anything, that Fireman of yours is cool.

I'm in the don't sell the fireman camp!
If anything goes it should be the 500. They are awesome but replaceable.

Didn't you work in Tescos or something and live at home so you could save all of your money for awesome gear?
Couldn't you get night shifts and save up loads?

I do feel for you - I'm trying to get together a deposit to buy a house and I think one or more of my PGMs may have to go... :(

I put it to you like this Ant

you want over £1000 for the fireman

i think your looking at closer to £700 and thats a generous bid. Its a beautiful guitar, and if i had the cash knockign around i would have it.

BUT although we all know its a REPLICA.... 99% of players would call it a FAKE

i know this because i bought a replica jem that cash converters had no choice but to let go of for £130
