Re: Daniele Gottardo mini diminidhed lesson
You'll note from the jpeg that I have created a little loop that repeats. i do this in Guitar Pro and then use a program called SnapZ pro ( a screen capture utility) to make a little video.
The videos are usually about 1 to 5 minutes long.
I put them in itunes and create little playlists like whole tone runs, harmonic minor licks, Paul Gilbert licks, Shawn Lane licks, etc.
This saves me a lot of time opening files or fumbling around for paper. It also helps me organize my practice time more efficiently.
I also compress some of the files using a program called iSquint. This allows the files to be played on my iPod nano. I take it to work and practice during my lunch break.
I'm mentioning all of this for a couple of reasons. First, other people might find this strategy for practicing useful.
Second, if a bunch of us were to create say 5 files a week we could get a pretty cool exchange thing going.
If anyone is interested in these sorts of files pm me or email me-
[email protected].
I can send you a sampling of files or you can request a specific type of file eg. tapping, sweep picking, economy picking, etc.
Thanks,
John Foster
