Post Strange developments...
So, I had sold my PGM 200 and 301 to my friend in NYC. Turns out my boss who owns the studio I do most of my recording work for was the one who fronted the money to purchase the guitars. Happily, they have returned home with a note from the boss saying "You can never have too many guitars. Consider these coming back to you a gift for 20 years of loyal service since you hung around during the tough times the studio had over its existence."

I thought it was a rather nice gesture from him. Certainly was unexpected. So they came home and I got some extra nice guitars with the cash from them and the other guitars I sold. All in all, a good week. Besides, I snagged a Maxxas MX-3 in mint condition with original hardcase. You know how fucking hard that is to do? Only $800 USD.

:? Hmm, I always thought that graphic was sarcastic. And it truly was a cool story, Jack.

Yeah you don't hear about things like this too often. Great story, must feel good to know you're valued by the studio like that. Very cool..

I think both guitars are going to go up for sale again. So I don't feel guilt and so my karma doesn't crash, I sent the money given to me by the studio owner back to him. I think I will keep my 401, 10th, 90th and Fireman and unload the 100, 200, 301 and 650 (the 500 with the 800 neck) along with some more Ibanezes and a Caparison or two. Albert may be right. It's just not a big deal to say "Look at me and all my PGM's!" and tho it was cool to collect them, the feeling is gone. So I'll keep the ones I really like and sell the rest. I'll let you all know when it happens. I certainly didn't need 33 guitars but somehow, it got there. I've become more infatuated with 540PII's anyway.

Well, first I thought; au! someone did you a major favor, and now you are selling them! Once a herritage les paul was given to me because I worked there 10 years. I would never be able to sell it. But you are giving it back. Still doesn't it itch at your gut feeling? :P

I've already sold a few, but no PGM's yet. But I'm sure I'll buy another few again. It stays a hobby. Which others are you selling?

Haven't decided yet. I have one JCustom that may be going in a trade and another that a fellow Jemsiter was dying for so that one will probably go as well. Otherwise, there's 1 or 2 Caparisons and some Ibanez Prestiges. I'm at 33 guitars and would like to get down to 25 or maybe even 20. I'll have a final list by the end of the month. I may end up keeping the PGM100. We'll see. Last bunch I sold went quickly so either people liked my guitars or my prices. :P One guy bought both my PGM10th and PGM 900.

Thats the coolest turn of events ever

and kept the 200, one you REALLY wanted

Can't sell them anyway now. Boss refused the 3000 grand and even put an extra 2000 in my account to quell my thoughts of selling the 200 and 301. He's a great guy but he doesn't understand it's not about money, just fading tastes in a particular series of guitars. Not like I ever used it for work. That's been my old RG3120 and these days, my JCustom 8470FFE. Alas, I cannot get rid of her now as my karma would go in the shitter. Ah well...

Imagine the karma you would get if you honoured the generosity of your boss by giving them away for nothing, to someone that would really appreciate them. No? Thought not...

His act of kindness was only strengthened. Accept it. One day you'll be glad those beautiful guitars are still yours.

And if not, then kindly send one over this way, it will have a much more loving home, if that is the case.
