Yeah, I definitely need to branch out a little. Maybe a new year resolution: buy a non wizard neck guitar :D

From early 90's to now, I've only played RGs and PGMs. Hell I played the same 1992 RG550 for a long time and nothing else. I drove it into the ground.

The PGM401 goes up in list price + $400 for 2010. Ibanez must have seen decent 09 demand for the PGM401 to raise the price.

Nice! Did you just send them the neck dimensions and say build me this neck with a tele headstock?

They probably had decent sales, but I bet part of it has to do with how weak the dollar is to the yen at the moment.

Yep, I took measurements up and down the neck, and they went for it. It came back a tad thicker than a Prestige neck, but it feels great in my hands.

I went with SS frets, and finished it with Tru Oil.

I hope not...

I am sure we all know Paul has nothing to do with Ibanez pricing, and who knows how much influence he has over what is offered.

I think it is great that Ibanez really put on a show for Paul last year, and I sincerely hope the products were a success for him.

Hopefully we can see more PGM offerings quicker than we went from the 301 to the 401.

Yep! And we want low prices for the Fireman. And I like more the FRM-2 than FRM-1. I dont like the pickguard from FRM-1... I dont like pickguards.

The 100 reissue wasnt as cool as the original.

the 300 reissue was retarded.

The Fireman being limited to 55 sucked.

I never had money to buy a PGM, so I cant complain cuz Ive still got my 301 that I got as a gift years ago.

QFT.

And it's been said here a dozen times but I would've purchased the FRM1 or FRM2 if they were at a reasonable production price without a second thought.

It's hard to believe that the high_price * low_production_number would've been higher than the lower_price * high_production_number in anyone's imagination so I have no idea what the point of that was.

It sounds petty but I would've bought the 401 if Paul had kept the binding and f-hole outlines from the Orange, but basically my most wanted PGM is still the Orange hands down, I'm still looking at getting one built.

I really like the PGM401. Totally my style.

I think it would be really cool if Ibanez did a "budget" Fireman run...."budget" meaning a Fireman in the normal PGM price range. Build the same basic guitar but price it so more people can afford it (maybe basswood instead of korina, drop all of the case candy). I'd definitely be in the market.

I would also like to see an affordable Fireman, but IMO it has to be Korina or Mahogany.
