Think we're going to see any new models/reissues? I realize last year was the "year of paul" but hey doesn't hurt to speculate?

I'm hoping they announce a continuation of the fireman line. The shape is too cool to only make 50 of em!

There always will be new models.

I would like to see new PGM's, but I don't know if I really want to see more reissues other than the 800, or may be the 600 which I doubt would happen.

It would be nice to see more fireman models. We can always hope that Ibanez has been busy getting the tooling ready to mass produce it.

But then wouldn't someone who paid $7,000 for it want some form of compensation?

Offer new colors or configurations and there is no need for compensation.

Gibson offers some of their really limited models at 2 different price points. They have the really expensive autographed or aged version, and a cheaper but still expensive version.

I just thought, if they continue with the list of PGM reissues, that means the 800 is this winter and the 200 is next summer.

its a longshot, but hey, speculation is half the fun.

There was a thread of 2010 guitar pics over at Jemsite and unless there's a surprise, the 401 is the sole PGM this year. We'll probably be waiting for Paul's 25th with Ibanez for anything new or special.

edit: Here is the NAMM Artist Appearances schedule. It looks more like a summer NAMM then anything. The economy must be killing them this year.

http://www.namm.org/thenammshow/2010/artist-appearances

There is a very distinct lack of Pablo Gilberto.
Maybe he's one of the Marshall booth demonstrators, which are not named... other then that - *shrug*

Nice news, considering that for a long time the only one PGM in production was the 301..

I see Ibanez has a new fixed bridge MIJ RG model that looks pretty good.

Except for the bridge that looks like something Peavey would have put on a T-60 circa 1982.

They come so close, but it seems like they always find a way to screw up what would have been a cool guitar. --Jason
