content edit: I'm curious to watch these, but want to make sure they are "ok" - not from one of Paul's DVD's - first.
Where are they from?

Thanks for that answer, Three D's! :)

From looking at the screen grabs that YouTube puts up as previews... Paul had that black/white longsleeve shirt, and the dog tags, on the 2008 tour so that stuff was probably all filmed before The Tour.

The Barks.Net video of Paul and Freddie is on FlexableLeftovers channel, too. I hope it's high enough quality that we don't have to return to Barks and re-load the video every time to watch in WMV... what a pain that was.

wowzers! Super cool videos, those are

yes, they're "old" videos, since the Detox EQ is only the prototype and not the final yellow one
but they have never been posted before

^Thanks for that awesome vid Dr Z. anyone know who the guitar player is?

And leave it to Paul to use the hardest possible fingering in the intro of Paris Hilton Look Alike... just play all the notes on E on the B string.

Thanks so much for posting the vids....

Paul just keeps getting better the older he gets, he might not be as quick as he was, but his phrasing is out of this world...... and that tone, I have the same amp and to play that clean on that amp is incredibly difficult.... Back to practice for me!!!!!!!

I'm curious to know how Paul feels about a lot of clips from his instructional DVDs being uploaded to YouTube.

A few years back it was only a few highlight clips here and there but due to Paul's recent surge in popularity there a number of people uploading Paul's entire instructional videos front to back, sometimes in HQ.

I've posted comments on those videos a few times like "If you really enjoyed the video you should buy it because Paul isn't exactly Beatles-rich" and sometimes the uploader responds and says they agree and they love Paul too.

I don't really know how to feel about it because I basically discovered Paul through YouTube and now I'm a lifelong fan and I've purchased most of his instructional DVDs.

More broadly it would be interesting to know how Paul feels about copyright and music piracy in general, big labels and the RIAA etc. I've never heard him say anything explicit about it, though I think he spends more time touring and less time recording now because of it and he's made statements to that effect.

It's still amazes me how some songs are just "put away" for a decade before being recorded =o
