What about the 401 neck dimensions? Does anyone know them?

I'm pretty sure you can already buy a 401 from Rich or another private kind of dealer.

According to the Ibanez website, the dimensions on the 401 neck are susposed to be the same as the '05 and newer prestige wizard necks. --Jason

You can order a PGM401, but I haven't heard of any shipping yet. I doubt Rich has any in stock yet.

The 401 dimensions are listed on the ibanez website

I like it. Although I'm not a big fan of dark collored guitars, the white pickups and maple neck made it a little more "lighter" looking

This is meant to be shared! :)
I found a PG website that details the PGM's like the documentation project would have done. This site is maintained! (check out the current copyright date.) Too bad it's only in Japanese.

http://www.10size.com/paul/all/ibanez_pgm.html
(most list text in English)

Has anyone spoken to this webmaster?

The site itself is not up to date completely (for ex., there is no 401 on the PGM list...) but it looks pretty good - the discography is current even to SFBADR. :)
... and it's been around since y2k. It's obviously run by another one of those ultra-dedicated Japanese fans! (like Ikuyo) How awesome is that - a PG site that's been online continuously for nine years? (Ikuyo's has been up like 11!)

OK now that I've found TWO other sites that document the PGM's in a list fashion I'm probably going to remove that from my blog. We can still work o the customs, one-offs, rare models, and guitars owned/refinished/replicated by fans.

That "Vote for the next Reissue" really bombed.
They're basically just putting the fucking floyd back on the guitar.

I agree Sean. I'm amazed the more rare models didn't win.. like the 200. Even with the new neck I would have bought a 200 RE for sure.

Same here - I was kinda "disappointed" with the choice folks made.

I wonder if the Orange/10th/90th PGMs (best looking IMO) were in the contest, would 300 still win? :P

The PGM300RE has a list price in Japan of :

283,500 Yen with tax included, or 270,000 Yen with no tax.

That converts to:
with tax: 3,158.77 USD
tax-free: 3,008.36 USD

I got the numbers from Ibanez.jp.

The street price will probably be considerably lower.

Thats the same list as the 100RE. So it would probably be priced about $2K at places like musicians friend, and guitar center.

I love my 300, but it only cost me $500 including shipping from japan. Granted it has a few small cosmetic issues, but it was still a steal at that price. 2K is too much for a 300 IMHO. Especially since you can get originals for half that if you are patient.

It would be nice if the first page also included pictures and details of the neck joints on all these models. I personally don't like any model with the big bolt on block.

The only models with the square heel are the PGM100 and the PGM401. All the other bolt ons models have all access neck joints. The shape of the heel on the set neck models vary. The neck joint of the 700 is kind of like a Gibson Les Paul.

Even if we had pictures of all the heels, we would need a moderator to edit the first post since JasonK is no longer with us
