Not a bad price either when you compare to the reissue. Hopefully it's good cause music stores tend to stretch the descriptions. Let us know.

Thanks guys.
Nice to see you around rreeves, I almost bought your 500 last year, remember?
I thought 250 bucks was hefty for shipping from the US to the UK, especially when seeing the seller of the 400 above (which I got my 500 from) *only* asked for 110 bucks from Japan, but overall I'm better off by about a 1000 pounds compared to the UK high street price (£2100) for a guitar that is practically new. Well chuffed.
And I think that's me done with buying PGMs, unless a 200 in mint condition comes up... never says never.

I pm'd Tak Hosono on Jemsite and asked if the 2nd and 3rd place winners of the PGM contest would ever be made. He probably can't tell me if they're a possibility until Ibanez says so but I still had to ask. 300?????? GAHHHH!!!!!

Totally agree, don't know how many times I voted for PGM800 and PGM200 but It seems like It was not enough...

My idea is that the PGM models are the hot serie at the moment (respecting the JEMs) so probably in next NAMM we can have some new models (A bolt on and cheaper Fireman maybe? A green Sake-man would be cool  )

Here's a PGM 300 (original) spotted today:

http://importstrings.com/?p=56

No pictures. Private blog seller. No price listed... I guess this is one of those "contact the blog author to make a deal" things. Caveat emptor.

The description said "Used" but it still has all the plastic films on the back and on the truss rod cover. Looks like new to me, so well chuffed.
It came in the original case with the manual and a few tags on quality checks.
There was also a plaque with a Gold CD stuck to it with a doodle by Paul about it being a 20ieth anniversary bla bla bla.

The only nag was that the trem bar is missing despite having written to the seller before buying it and him confirming it was included (it wasn't showing on the pictures).
I've sent him an email asking for it, no reply yet... will see.
The guitar... well, it's gorgeous and it's the fastest neck I've ever played... it even plays the notes I badly fret... feeling not worthy of it right now but will soon enjoy this beastie even more when I get back into playing more.
Anyway, the deed is done and it's a good one!

"Super rare" ??
I'd say the 200 is super rare... The 600 and 700 as well...
Not that it isn't tempting... :P
Damn being poor... :/

I think its amazing that at the mo there's a 301 and an 800 on ebay with the same start price! I know they probably won't end at the same price haha but there used to be such a massive gulf in the prices between the 301 and other, rarer models.. A few months ago when i bought mine they were selling for about half of what they go for now, and this in the middle of a credit crisis!!

Its all great news for Paul though :)

Start price means nothing as it's on a reserve, could be 99p and it wouldn't matter. If the reserve is £3000 it would seem less of a deal, no? :)

Yeah definitely, you're completely right! I just wanted to make a comment about how much the 301 prices have shot up really haha :) I know they've been discontinued and all that but there are still loads of them out there!

I wonder what a mint 200 would go for with the current PGM prices...
