I would really like to see the official voting results broken down by country. I can only speculate that Japan is full of people who wanted a 300 (god only knows why).
Honestly, the reissue thing does not really excite me. I would rather see more models along the lines of the 800,500, and 200, but with the older style neck joint, and different colors.
I understand plenty of people still like the bright ass colors, but something like the orange PGM is right up my alley.

They could have done that RED with blue pickups and f-holes... WTF I don't think peps in Japan voted for 300 lol... as I saw it in almost every second hand guitar store with the price of 80,000 yen on it

even if its a shitty outcome of the vote, i still think that its legit!
why would they release a model that no1 voted for? because if no1 voted for it, no1 likes it, and therefore no1 will buy it!
and i dont think that thats what ibanez wants...
but maybe some cunt made some kind of a bot that kept voting for the 300?

Nope I'm with you. I thought for sure it would be the 200 or 800.

Well I've owned an original PGM 100 and original PGM 300 and played them for countless hours. I had the chance to play both the PGM100 RE and 300RE a couple weeks ago. They play like absolute shit compared to the originals. It's so dissapointing.. I'm now kind of glad it wasn't the 800 or 200 that they were turning out crappier versions of.

The age makes the sound lol Also... my IRG 740 compared to the Prestige 2520 sounds amazing... Somehow, nowadays Ibanez makes those guitars sound "flat" (not all of them, but sadly majority of them sounds like this)

I prefer the 300 to the 401, but they both have those gaudy f-holes.

 Blasphemy!
Maybe they had a lot of 300 parts so now they can clear inventory?

Actually I was just kidding (sort of). PGMs actually play very nicely, I just feel funny playing mine (probably because I'm not Paul Gilbert, lol).

those little fuckheads watch Paul's recent videos on YT, then they get excited and vote for the 300. this is my theory on the 300RE thing.

I am willing to bet most people here wouldn't have bought a reissue either way. Any of them would be atleast 2 grand and i dont see anyone paying that for a reissue. Probably only 3% of people who voted will even buy a PGM this year.

More marketing genius from Ibanez...
Why have a reissue of a readily available used original that can be purchased for half the cost?
I love the fact that Paul is getting so much deserved attention, but the product offerings are just whack.

Yeah the more I think about this the more I agree. For years we watch Paul play pretty cool guitars that aren't available to purchase. With his videos popping up on youtube and then Paul's new albums, he's finally getting the recognition he deserves. Now's the time Ibanez - make a splash with the red ghostrider from IR2, or the orange/red PGM, or one of the various rare models we see Paul play. Make us something we can't get on Ebay.
