Post Custom Shop PGM 7-string at Steve Vai Auction
Hello!

I have donated my one-of-a-kind Ibanez Custom Shop PGM 7-string to an auction that Steve Vai has organized for the Hollywood Arts charity.

Here is a photo of the guitar:

http://favorednations.com/auction/index_3.htm

Here is more info about the auction and event:

http://www.vai.com/messageboard/viewtop ... =1&t=29067

It's an awesome guitar, a great cause, and an exciting event. Please attend if you can!

Thank you,

Paul

Can't help with the guitar, but the VIP pass is from the latest Italian sojourn (April '09) and the photo on it is from Cermenate '07.

Wow Paul, thanks for donating that to the Hollywood Arts cause! That is *very* generous of you. (It seems this foundation attracts high-quality donations!) I'd go if I was in the area because from the info. it really does seem exciting. I sent the foundation an e-mail... hope to get more info. asap.

Is this an LACS modified RG7621? Headstock looks like it, plus its control cavitiy isn't pgm style simply just slighltly enlarged to accomidate the pgm style electronics.

sweet guitar though, I wonder what pickups are in it. Probably PAF7's or something

The org. wrote me back and sent me a PR which was almost identical to the PR from Vai's website... so I gained about 10 hours of lead time by posting Vai's version... :)
... they still don't have the list typed. I do. hehe!
... they were VERY kind and extremely helpful to me. I guess the delay in reply was caused by an entire day of board meetings regarding the fundraiser. Steve Vai said so (on Twitter).
... item donations continue to roll in, so please check the link Paul posted ^^ up there!

... It is not known yet which items will be available for online bidding (eBay) and what will be available to bid on, in-person. If the guitars are offered on eBay, it would probably be in charity auction format, and you guys could bid to win.

@sonnyrazor: The Cermenate pic is on the front of the VIP pass which is shown inside the guitar case. It's the picture from Paul's Happy Birfday ('08) thread where we were saying "nice pants"! Because they are awesome pants and it's a super picture.
