Oh, thanks for the news, Sharpant!

Guess what it (the body of the guitar) says. Those Japanese characters. We could make a contest out of it...

No way man, I had to ask a native Japanese friend and it took THREE DAYS to get the answer! It was torture, waiting! You guys should guess.

If people get close then I'll spill beans for sure. :)

Although if you spend about, oh, 3 seconds? looking... you will immediately find the answer.

Well if you read the filename of the picture of the White Fireman, its KikusuiFiremanSoundcheck.jpg

I did a little research and it appears that Kikusui is a type of Sake. If you go to their website, you can see Pauls Guitars symbol in the upper left hand corner (though the 2 parts of the symbol are going left to right, rather than down.)

Kikusui means "The Water of Chrysanthemum"

Heres the Sake website and the origin story of the word Kikusui: http://www.kikusui-sake.com/home/__english/brewing/p5.html

I win.

So what it actually means eternal youth?

He got this guitar out for the tour, and it's taking him back to his young and high days. Mr/ Big, rocking out, living fast, and great, being on top is what they did. I like to think that to myself. It sounds good

Plus, it sounds like a good drink.

RossAlex, you DO win. First to guess and first to guess right. You NAILED it and brought the goods to this thread in a big way.

> 'The Water of Chrysanthemum'

I did not know it meant that - I knew sake was an alcohol produced by fermenting rice, and Kikusui was the brand Paul had chosen, but beyond that... had no idea.

Zae's interpretative theory is pretty cool.

The fireman also has similar colours to the packaging of the sake.

Chrysanthemum is a Greek name for Image

So it's "the water of a flower"

The knobs are the caps from the sake bottles! The custom shop blew my mind with this one.

Thank you,

Paul

Wow, I'd love to check that out on a high res photo once one gets around. Thanks for the cool information Paul! The guitar looks awesome. 8)

This is what I'd do to a Fireman:
