Post Custom Fireman Thread- Courtesy of Jaden Rose
Hey guys

First of all, if it seems arrogant to make a thread about myself, I'm sorry. Many people on the board have sent me private messages about the custom fireman Jaden Rose is making for me. Seeing as there is a lot of interest I've made this thread for all of you to view.

http://www.guitarworkshop-uk.com/

This thread will incorporate updates including pictures and hopefully updates from Jaden himself if he is willing too :) I'm guessing the guitar will take around 6-10 weeks to produce but that's something I really can't comment on.

Anyway, Today i went to visit Jaden and most importantly put down the deposit on the Fireman. I had a look round Jaden's workshop and had a great chat and some awesome cake! He is a very nice guy and seems very passionate about his business

Project

Jaden Rose custom Fireman

Specifications

http://www.ibanez.com/images/contentEnt ... /Spec.html

The guitar will be made to EXACTLY the same specs as Paul's. Including the aesthetics. Everything down to the angled pickups and woods including korina and bubinga, 22 frets 3/4 scale length, etc. The only difference will be the logo on the headstock

Here are some pictures of the Fireman for those who are unfamiliar with it.

Here is video of Paul demonstrating the Fireman

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAIjWrpTPXY

Here is my custom made Fireman hippie strap that should top the guitar off ;)

Image

This thread will have updates of the guitar in production, if you have any questions please feel free to ask

I have a question:

How do you get so much money?

If you could keep the questions relevant to the guitar that would be much appreciated.

I'm a student, live at home, pay no rent and get uni fee's for free thanks to my mother working there.

I work at tesco and spend most of my cash on guitars. However this shall be my last guitar purchase in a long time as i want to start saving for a mini cooper s.

After i get my Engl Powerball :D

Not criticizing, because this isn't the thread for it, but you should really sit and think about the money you spend. I know you have, I'm just saying that the car is a good investment (be it a mini :P). The dream gear can come later. Dream skills don't cost anything:)

(aka we are all jealous)

and holy shit!!!! The fireman only costs 1XXX!!! RABBABBABBABABABABRABABRBABRABABABBA!

The price of the Fireman is for Jaden to comment on, not me ;)

Thanks for the words of advise but I'll be leaving University with no debts so I think I'll be fine financially :)

Well, if you can, I'd recommend also trying out the ENGL Invader (which looks beautiful with its blue glowing tubes) and/or Savage. The Powerball is also an awesome choice anyway, and I'm sure you'd be happy with it. Just saying there are two other amazing choices out there (albeit more expensive) if you haven't thought about them yet. :)

Getting new guitar gear is such an addiction. I'm selling a lot of my old stuff to upgrade...which sucks, but at least I gots me some moo-lah. $_$

I also haven't bought my girlfriend anything in ages...:o

Well, back on topic, so Jaden has not started on the Fireman yet? Or if he has, did you get a good look at it? Also, what kinda cake was it?

And...........Jaden! You WILL make me something someday when I have some amount of money that at this point in time will not be specified!!!!

Hey Bean

I only paid the deposit today so Jaden hasn't started on it yet but he has ordered most of the parts in such as the bridge and woods. It's just the tailpiece that hasn't arrived.

Congrats Sharpant! This is going to be an awesome thread with all the updates of the axe in progress, maybe a sound demo, etc.

Why should you guys care about his money and his business at all? I thought personal finances were just that: personal. Some of you guys are so nosey. Next you're all going to want to look in his medicine cabinet. Sheesh.

I hope you enjoy your guitar, but you are worryingly frivolous with money.

I hope you have not burdened yourself with a student loan and are spending the money which you have obtained from that on luxuries. A student loan is not free money.

Sigh, if you would have read my second post you would have seen that i don't get a student loan and will be leaving uni with no debts.

All the money i spend is mine that i have earnt at tesco.

I appreciate you are only trying to advise me and mean well but please stop telling me how to spend my money.

This thread is meant to be about the custom fireman not financial advise.

Thats about the earliest wip pic iv'e ever seen of a guitar =P

If im allowed to comment on finances, im spending half my student loan on guitar stuff! Why? Because it makes me happy. Thats all the reason i need =D I cant see how im not gonna be able to pay a 10.000$ student loan no matter what i do after school, so i dont worry. If i sell all my equipment im almost there actually. (honestly!)

There is nothing expressly stated in your second post that shows you do not have a student loan, only that you don't pay for tuition fees or for accommodation. I know several people who have taken student loans out unnecessarily (not for tuition fees and accommodation) and have blown them on luxuries.

Heh, unless you are fortunate enough to have vast financial backing, please don't, if only for the sake of daddy's pocket.

Anyway, back to the guitar chat.
