Well I may have exaggerated a little. But yeah, I'm pretty sad. Or mad, dunno.

I'd have solo my guitars, my amps, my xbox, my weights, my boots, my tv, my surround sound, my pc.... to fly to LA to see this show.
And I'm not joking.
Sad.
Yeah man, same here!

Yeah I was also planning on sleeping in the street after the show if all else failed. Fortunately my friend was able to get in too so I had a ride there and back. Nitefly, I think you might not understand just how big Racer X is to some of us. I wish I could explain personally how much they mean to me personally, but I can just say if I wouldn't have seen them, I really would be the saddest I have ever been in my life. And my life is not incredibly pleasant.
I'm sorry guys.. I really tried my best for you. I told Jeff how there's fans all over the world dying to see him perform and to hear new RX stuff. I've never seen a performer who looked like he loved it as much as Jeff did. I really wish they would start playing again..
but if you guys really want to see Racer X perform again. There's only one person who could make it happen.

Was the 2010 album told by Jeff as a joke?

Yes.. sadly. He said the name of it was "Folded Man"
And he kept hinting to Paul. Paul just didn't respond though...

As far as i'm concerned, i appreciate the gesture .
I dunno how i feel right now tbh. I felt so happy when i saw the concert photos but then i felt (and i still feel) really sad for not being there. I just wish these shows were not so rare. I know i'd do everything to see Racer X live (i already said this a billion times but fine :\).

it's the record companies that are the problem, or lack of one, the guys would probably have to pay to release a new album themselves, unless they could get shrapnel to do it, but shrapnel would not foot the bill for a tour, and i would imagine as good as they all are most of racer x are not millionaires,Ibanez will have footed the costs for this one, especially with the world financial situation it does not look good.
Being big in Japan is one thing but Japan is a very small country. I think the best to hope for is a new album, Paul has a studio etc etc, but a tour is probably not going to happen, certainly outside of california or Japan, which is a bastard

They are signed by Universal in Japan, so there would be -eventually- finance for a new record.
And Racer X would not have ANY problems playing a world tour. If Paul can tour on a solo basis, then RACER X "with" Paul Gilbert, Scott Travis, John Alderete and Jeff Martin (4 household names in the rock industry -specially the first 2-) would be a killer act to fill theaters.
I stand my word on that.

The recording of the album is not the biggest problem. That can happen once the planets align & all the guys have free time at the same time. A tour is a big deal as it depends on the schedules of the guys & where they have to go. Let's just hope & pray.

Yup. Which is why I hate it when people don't understand how unlikely it was for the Racer X show to happen and how impossible it is for it to happen again.

hehe!
It's really not that harsh, considering that you guys have been nagging Paul endlessly and mercilessly, some have even insulted him! and you have been begging for this for so long, and being complete fanatics about it, so for it to slip completely by... LOLz!!!
You'z gots to read the posts!
Personally, I'm looking forward to the American tour. If I miss any shows I'd planned on going to (so far just 1, but maybe more), an official "I am depressed because I missed this show" thread will be started. LOL.

Oh, but if anyone was taking it seriously, there probably would have been a thread about it.

schedule is the main issue, no doubt about it.
but again, you are talking about a 2-3 month tour, its not "that" big...
