He wanted to meet Scott.. but I thought he wanted to meet Paul so I told him how Paul already took off. And he said "scott travis???" and I said no Paul and he looked at me kinda pissed like wtf and was like "oh what?" or something.. haha.

It was pretty funny. Gatxman saw

Haha. I had no idea that was him. Sucks Billy Sheehan and Pat Torpey took off before the show ended. There could've been 2 reunions in one show.

Ah hahahaha... oh dear, the poor sap. Do you think he learned how to play clean, by now? Was Yngwie watching and taking notes too? (j/k)

Kickass about Mike Varney being there to watch his old protegees in action.

So there were no secret guests?!

I heard the filming rumors too. Source is VERY reliable. Unfortunately they are also a 9-5, M-F company, East Coasters who have to fly back home, so the hope of seeing videos from them before Monday... just ain't happenin'. I could be wrong though.

So Freddie Nelson and Andy Timmons just went right trough you?

Rexix, please re-read my past posts as I have discussed both things you mention; reading comprehension is a very good skill to have.

I'm actually more surprised seeing Mike Szuter then anything. That is SWEET!

... Regardless of the guests, it sounds like it was a PHENOMENAL show.

Trying to piece together a review as we speak. It is very fragmented across several threads but things look goooood.

why do we have two threads or the same thing? It's already difficult to keep up with all the stuff that's written.

Congratulations to all of you guys. I'm really glad you managed to get in. I really can't begin to comprehend how brilliant the show must have been.

Congrats you guys.

I'm really glad you all made it. If I knew this show was open, I'd fly to LA just to see it!

Oh well

One thing that I DO notice regarding complainers: 4 people moaning that there are two threads about this show. First of all, people have been nagging Paul terribly about this for years. Now, this is the first time Racer X have played in 8 years and then board members, arguably the most die-hard of fans who want this information the most, complain about having to keep up with two threads?! LOL! Man oh man, that is the pinnacle of "you can please some of the people some of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time." Hit refresh/reload or ignore one of the threads, your choice.

My only complaint is that if I had known this was a show I could have easily gotten in to, I would have been there in 3 seconds. Nobody knew that until the very end of the waiting period though, and that certainly isn't Ken's fault or any band-guys fault! Hey that's the way life is... sometimes you win some, sometimes you lose some. It was a free show so there was no incentive to try and bring more people in (to make more $$$) like there is at a regular gig. At least it was pro-shot, so at least I'll get to see some of the video footage someday.

I might end up going to one of these CA shows if the Guitar Generation tour is just a CA thing, remembering how much it sucked to know I was missing a great show, yesterday... *shrug*

wtf... now who is the one that is being naive now? haha... we complain that its stuff happening all over the board that EASY could be in just one thread.

Im super fucking happy that RX played together how can you question my loyalty ?! :S dudette you cant really do that when you dont even like RX as much as anyone else you like PG.

If i had known a few hours earlier I definitely could have made it out there. I'm glad some people from the board got to go.

Its not quite the same, but I will get to see Paul at the San Diego, and Hollwood Guitar Generation shows. I still feel lucky to live in southern california, and have the opportunity to see him play pretty much every year.

Eric. It's more of a joke referring to all the USA fans saying "wheres our dates for pg?" when he plays 3 dates in the UK on an entire Europe tour.

Seeing Racer X, Billy Sheehan, Guthrie Govan, Andy Timmons etc all on one night is enough to stop ANYONE moaning that they can't see Paul again, cosidering RX probably won't do this anywhere else.

Thanks for clarifying :)
