Post An insight on correct frethand technique
I'm a pretty decent player, and in just one sitting session figured out a subconscious key or unblockage, I dont 100% play the guitar with my finger tips, I knew this was a mistake and didn't know how to change my technique, but I was practicing my legato and I found that if I was still hitting the fretboard as hard as I was for legato that I could actually go faster and smoother and just pretended I wasnt picking which got me to really concentrate on it. It made my playing more fluid and its something I can go back to. I see it kinda ke a subconscious thing

edit: after further thought I am able to explain why this works this way, when you combine your techniques instead of compartmentalizing, meaning you have to consciously change what you are thinking about to switch techniques, for example, your style includes sweeping combined with alternate picking and some very slick legato, you have to learn it all at the same time which is a lot to deal with, its like you have to hear it in your head, so its like put all your techniques into one conscious box and use it as a veichle to play guitar....
