Great. So there's a bit of Racer X for you guys, live in concert no less, a very good way to experience them.

Now will you guys stop nagging Paul?

Everyone who nagged at Paul had better get their asses to the show.

Sorry, but there's no way for the average person to go, unless they have some connection to Ibanez....they are a dealer or know someone.....so it's kinda hard to lecture anyone for "not going".

Maybe since apparentley the general public isn't going to be able to get into the NAMM show, they could play a show at the Whisky again the next day or day before? Maybe?

it is a strange venue to have the first Racer X show in 7 years at; seeing as how the public isn't able to get in.

I suggested that....but they can't play before, since this "bang" is for Ibanez. And they can't play after, because Paul is leaving (I think) the next day to go to Japan or some place.

AWEEEEESOME!!!

I hope he at least plays some of these:

Street Lethal
Loud 'N' Clear
Scarified
Hammer Away
Gone Too Far
Superheroes
Viking Kong
Poison Eyes
Snakebite

They'd be awesome to see, I just hope Paul plays the solos the 80's way too...

I am more than surprised no-one had already picked up on this after Bruce's rant of a posting weeks and weeks ago

OK, if this is an insider deal only, my question is this:

I think there's a misunderstanding here somewhere. I am going to wait for official word on this before I either go apeshit happy again or get bummed out again. My enthusiasm is officially curbed though.

I'd like to know if I was wrong (i.e. if it really IS an insider only thing) because if so I have a lot of post editing to do, to keep from misleading anyone. I would hate to mislead anyone.

But if I am correct then I think a board party is in order.

At Nitefly's house! :)

There's no misunderstanding.

This is an Ibanez deal. If you've ever been to a NAMM show, there are thousands of people there....thousands. And as all the musicans, dealers, manufacturers and a few fans mill around the show....everyone asks...."So...who's playing??" "Do you know who's playing?" There's a buzz around the place....one year it was Elton John...in 2003 it was Eddie Van Halen's infamous appearance. My point is......RACER X is going to be the buzz.....Ibanez knows this.... It's going to create a frenzy (no pun intended) for people clamouring to Ibanez to get into the show. It's going to create BUZZ...big BUZZ.

Since this is the 20th Anniversary of the PGM....that's what Ibanez wants. Buzz.

The show is going to be January 17.....and Paul does not lie...there are no tickets to buy, no price to announce...because it's a concert for the industry. The Sheraton is literally, 100 feet from the Anaheim Convention Center...home of the NAMM show.

I have suggested to Paul, that another public show the day after or before would be ideal....but he pointed out, that he can't play before, as that would diminish the "Buzz" for Ibanez and he can't do it after, because he flies out the next day.

All I can say.....is HOPE that it can be filmed.....and hope for another date or two sometime later.

I'm a fan as much as you all.....so I would be feeling the same way too, if I couldn't go.
