Beautiful.
One of my favourite Hedges tunes:

Wonderful sense of light and shade.
And this is just awesome:

The style has gone downhill since Michael's passing IMO.

Wow. I can't even believe where he'll be in 20 years. It's not just "note for note" shit he's playing, he actually understands the phrases like a pro player

Don't know if these songs are that amazing to you guys since I've only played for 2 years but...
Unique melodic shred with some chicken picking (i think?) by Nils Norberg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ki4kzr4Pw2c
This song is stuck in my head for some reason, speeds up after 1:16, Ohmura Takayoshi
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wBmIp1-CVY
Swedish melodic shredder, Robert Marcello
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BS1g-gBiRZ8
Very emotional music by Andy Timmons

Please listen through the whole video before making negative comments

Welcom to the board dude! I have to say, one of my favorite guitarists is Andy Timmons, and Robert Marcello is a beast! I haven't heard of the other two guys before but it was impressive!
 Enjoy your stay.
EDIT: Actually, I've heard the first guy with Nocturnal Rites before. I knew the name sounded familiar, but I've never heard his solo stuff before. It's very good.

Be prepared for the novelty to wear off pretty soon. I'm already tired of seeing modern fingerstyle guitarists endlessy tapping and drumming their guitars, it's been done to death and mostly at the expense of any real substance or structure.
I like Andy McKee, but I feel his songwriting is just a wee bit stale, with a few exceptions.
For true fingerstyle check out Michael Hedges, Alex De Grassi, Stephen Bennett, Leo Kottke, and Don Ross.

Awesome shit man! He's pretty good! Are you attending the Institute btw? I'm thinking about attending there myself in like 2 or 3 years, if I don't find a REALLY good band here back home!
