Post finding Racer X albums
The only Racer X album I remember actually seeing in a store is Technical Difficulties.

The problem is, a lot of people aren't familiar with this band, and a store won't stock what people won't buy, no matter how good the music is.

Maybe it would help if a store DID stock Racer X albums, and put a big sign above them, reading in big letters "THIS BAND FEATURES JUDAS PRIEST DRUMMER SCOTT TRAVIS."

Then, maybe people will recognize the names "Judas Priest" and "Scott Travis" even if they don't recognize the name "Racer X".

The BIG problem is:

In the US, Shrapnel doesn't give any decent merchandise to any of its artists, as far as I know.

If only Racer X could sign with a big record company, I'm sure a lot more people would know them (in the US).

In Brazil, the only 2 CDs that were released were Technical Difficulties and Getting Heavier, and I'm sure there are a lot more countries where this happens.

Do what I do. Go to Borders.. order 3 or 4 copies. Then don't pick them up. A week or two later they'll put em on the shelf. :)

im pretty lucky really, ive bought all of my racer x albums apart from second heat and the extreme volume series from an actual store local to me!!! the big chain stores wont stock bands like racer x though cos they think there isnt any profit to be made in it but if you hunt down the locally owned alternative music shops theres bound to be something somewhere!!! and i live in the uk so it cant be that hard in the us!

I bought the Superheroes CD before PG's gig last year, then I found the LPs of LEV I and Street Lethal in a second-hand shop; apart that, here you can't find any Racer X or PG album... that's because no-one will spend part of his time ordering one CD.
I also wonder why all the people are listening only to COB, Metallica and Iron Maiden.. very close minded :(

theres a mad store in Sydney that stocks most RX albums. I bought SBOD there, they had LE2 also. Jb hifi is pretty good too, i occasionally see the odd Rx cd.

In chile you won´t find them in the "massive" shops.

You have to go to rock stores which dedicate to this kind of music, and maybe you´ll be lucky.

No. It was the last copy of that at the Virgin Record Store, and it was really easy to find.
Behind that, there were about 5 Getting Heavier copies

I absolutely think a lot of people would be interested in Racer X if they knew the band existed, but they don't.

MTV just isn't into musical education.

Come to think of it, the last I checked, they were barely into music, period.

WHAT THE FUCK!?

Coming from one of the number one bitchers on the forum for new Racer X. I can't stand when people say stuff like that!

NOTHING in the world would make me happier than seeing Racer X in the next guitar hero or rock band. I don't give a fuck about people saying OMG my new favorite band RACER X!! I'd say GOOD. GO buy their cds NOW! I don't feel special for liking an awesome band! I feel lucky that I even heard them in the first place.. and I wish to spread this music to anyone willing to listen.

I wish everyone in the world loved Racer X.

yeah, as much as ud like that...it wont ever happen...its too widly simple....an you can argue with me about it all you like...but at the end of the day facts speak....so what good will one of ur rants do?

i love RX..... simple....

but i can accept the fact that others dont, i quite enjoy my little piece of uniqueness coz iv never really met anone who id call a fanatic, if i had then times like last year when the board members met up in london would be nothing special....

could u really say that itd be 'cool' if every little wanabe rock kid was wearing a rx hoodie? i hate all those kids that think theyre cool coz their mom bought them a metalica hoodie or linkin park or blink 182, whatever point is bands like that have lost all their integrity, and id never wish that upon racer x

Dude if those little kids would have their mom buy them hoodies, merchandise, and Racer X cds.. it's all money into the bands pocket.. and if their moms buy them tickets to Racer X's world tour. I'd be happy.

Of course I agree with EricF here.

The same way people support Iron Maiden(even those retarded kids), it's all money that goes to the band and makes them even BIGGER.

Would it be annoying if a litle kid who knows NOTHING about music said "yeah, Racer X effin' rocksss :P "? yes it would.
But this would only help the real fans arround the world to see them in live concerts, and to make the fans united...just like BLS or Iron Maiden fans are...
