Pretty weak singer. Oh well. He's probably easier to manipulate than JSS.

The show kicked ass.
Pineda needs some more time to fit in the band, but he did a really nice work, and had a great stage prescense, which was cool.
Now I´m seeing them on Saturday & Sunday!

So the 3rd show in Chile got cancelled due to power issues at the venue huh Gussy???
Wow Arnel has only done a couple of shows so far and they're already planning to record a DVD in Vegas???
"The gig got cancelled after 10 hours of our crew busting there ass to make it happen. The promoter brought in an additional generator when the house power was dropping and smoking our power conditioners. That generator failed and then we brought over the electrician from the first night's festival and he re-wired and we tried to go again. The final straw was a fire broke out under the stage at the main transformer and the house manager called the cancellation. Everyone really looked forward to these shows and unfortunately we were done in by the building after the first 2 being well put together on the technical side.
Just wanted to let you know that our crew is one of the most professional crews on the planet and they shouldn't be thrown under the bus."
And from another source in the Journey camp in Chile: "Their power converter (converts 220V to 110V) was not big enough to power our gear and so they modified it but fucked it up and it actually caught on fire and self destructed. If our gear would have been connected at that time, it would have destroyed half a million dollars worth of our equipment not to mention the danger to band and audience."
So unfortunately, it was just one of those bad luck things. No word as yet if the show could possibly be rescheduled, but due to the expense of transporting gear, it seems unlikely that one show on foreign soil could be repeated.
Journey's next two shows are in Las Vegas - one private show for the ReMax corporation and a second public show March 8, at the Planet Hollywood Theatre for the Performing Arts, where the band plans to film a live DVD.
The newly recorded studio album is expected by mid-year.

Well, the band is tight as ever, they did GREAT shows!
I got the luck to see them on the 2 shows they did, and I was at the door of the venue when the third show was cancelled (man, THAT was sad!!).
The new singer is outstanding, and he sings great. He also has a lot of power on stage, and keeps moving and jumping all around. A superb addition to the band!

It irritates me so much when people say "They aren't Journey without Steve Perry.".
Were they not Journey BEFORE Steve Perry joined???
I've actually heard that when Steve Perry joined, many people walked out of Journey concerts upon hearing him with Journey for the first time. Personally, I think those people were idiots...
