Any news on Racer X recording.......maybe?
I remember seeing something about them really wanting to get busy on new Racer X music just after John was diagnosed with that blood disorder. I may be wrong, I was just wondering if anything has happened along the lines of progress towards some new Racer X making its way to us anytime within the respectably not to distant future? I certainly hope so.

I love it.
but as far as any of us know and would expect, nothing is in the works right now. But all I could think about when listening to The Gargoyle was RACER X MUST RETURN!
But yeah Paul's new cd was JUST released, and i'm guessing he'll be booked through the year melting faces all over the earth.
In the meantime, if you already haven't you should check out Jeff Martin's solo album "The Fool" it's a great album.

Because Mars Votla just released a new album, I think this would mean that the bassist is unable to record because of touring issues.
Maybe after the tour?

to quote a senior member here 'My opinion of GH hasn't changed. Some good songs (Lucifer's Hammer, Dr. X, Bucket of Rocks, Siren's Eye, Catapult, Go-gg-Go, Golden God) but no great ones. Paul's playing is still terrifying, but the songs just don't hold up against previous Racer X records. Too much Rush/Trower influence and not enough Priest/Van Halen influence. Definitely the weakest RX CD by far and an incredible let down after Superheroes.'
there is a thread on getting heaver.
so,there may be a new album ONE day....

i just HATED the intro to Go-gg-Go for a loong time... and then one day i was humming on a song... and may be damned... it was that song now i love it for its "sneakyness"
Lucifers Hammer is a song you want to play like after a gig or something when you are glad and filled with adrenalin.
I like this album more and more for each time i hear it =)

getting heavier was like dark chocolate to me
it took me a while to adjust to the taste
but once you taste it you can never go back to normal chocolate
as for new rx albums i think the chances of paul being in another G3 might be higher..but only time can tell what happens!
i dont mind either way as long as paul keeps playing and making music!

After seeing this thread, I got curious, so I asked Bruce (through Myspace) if he'd talked to the guys about a new album with the full band reunion. He said:
"As far as Racer X, I don't think there will be a reunion anytime soon,
and very possibly a full reunion never again. Not to say that I'll never play or record with Paul again, I'm sure we will cross paths a few more times down the road."
Don't mean to be a bummer, but I figured I'd share what I was told with you.

Crap . Hope Bruce and the rest of the RX members will change their minds somehow, someday.
