do you even play guitar?

rich ward isnt sloppy when he plays live he always changed solos around it proves he is a guitar god, he doesnt need to stick too a solo he's written 20 years ago he can make one up on a fly in a song, not to mention rich always talks about not being note perfect is what makes a concert a concert nobody wants to go to a show to see exact same shit they heard on record.

Rich is like this, some shows he will play cd songs solos note perfect he can hit them all perfectly but most of videos on youtube of him they got footage of the nights he decided to change the guitar solos around and not as technical.

He does other stuff but that's his most used favorite stuff 2 finger index/pinky.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=i33t19-it3s

^ mostly^ only chromatics by paul a few 4 finger, but mostly 3 or 2.

it's weird im already faster with my fingers and i only started acouple months ago.

I need to work on my alternate picking though for sure pretty sloppy.

for about first 20 seconds he just 2 finger /tremolo picking.

SEE at times i kinda wish rich did play studio songs note perfect 100% of the time because footage is rare of him playing, that link is him improvising stuck mojo snappin necks guitar solo .

http://youtube.com/watch?v=NVe-euKzk1A

^ here's the studio track of snappin necks/cd song you can tell the solos is different so dont think im lying.

the clip shows paul gilbert nubbing is what buckethead calls it he got it from paul it's repeatined 2 fingers in 1/2 fashion are you blind? buckethead uses it consistently on welcome to buckethead land song.

it's played chromatic scale but real name paul i guess call it nubbing.

it's not him being sloppy either because he doesnt even try to even slightly play the studio track solo live alot of times kinda piss me off but it's cool also sometimes solos are better improvised sometimes not unfortunatly there's really no footage showing the most technical shit he's capable of. i can compile a list of concert links where rich totally changes solos from studfio track he doesnt mess up playing them he just doesnt play them and plays something different.
