Post Guitar Hero + Rock Band
Hey I just got home, long day so I'm not gonna put much into this thread tonight but I just recently got an x box 360 and own both Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band. Both games are cool but a lot of the songs are WEAK!! For those of you that don't know the game is forever expanding with song expansion for sale on xbox live. So anyway I got the idea that these games NEED Racer X and all of us Racer X fans should email the makers of both Rock Band and Guitar Hero.

I KNOW that many many Racer X songs would be perfect for Rock Band. The best songs in Rock Band are fast, intense, catchy, and fun for every instrument. And Racer X would be perfect.

anyway i'll look up email addresses tomorrow so get your fingers warmed up.

I'm serious about this though, even if you don't play these games or think they're stupid if it happens it could open many doors for Racer X and it will widen their fanbase BIGTIME!

it's kind of a long shot but if everyone helps we could do something.

ROCK

No. They are nowhere near mainstream enough :?

Yeah, no way they're going to put Racer X into those games :?. It's a shame but both Guitar Hero and Rock Band are directed more or less to a mainstream audience.

I think there are videos of Technical Difficulties and Scarified being played in Guitar Hero 2, though. Yep, found them:

Technical Difficulties

Scarified Co-op

Anyways, if you really want you can try including a Racer X tune in Frets on Fire which is a game like the ones already mentioned avaliable to PC with a sizeable community and you can "rip" songs into it.

the strat controller for rock band feels like a piece of cardboard compared to the les paul controller for guitar hero 3.

I was telling my friend that "Superheroes" would be insane to play on Rock Band/GH (not to mention a real instrument), so I'd definitely enjoy seeing them throw a Racer X expansion on there. It's unlikely it'll happen (though they did put Buckethead on there, he's a bit "bigger" than RX), but I'd be happy to email a few people.

in your opinion, but what i love about these games is that they're exposing unsuspecting kids to awesome music.
"Black Magic Woman", "Sunshine of Your Love", "Cliffs of Dover"...it goes on and on. music these kids would probably never go search for, is going to be exposed to them in a matter of days.

That one is so over the top  It's like "Rock Star", only exchanging Zakk Wylde with that kid who plays one of the songs acousticly and looks like a meatball.

There should really be a tier or DLC called "Dragonforce Can't Touch This" and include:

Racer X - Scarified
Cacophony - Speed Metal Symphony
Jason Becker - Altitudes
Paul Gilbert - The Curse of Castle Dragon
Buckethead - Soothsayer

Let's see those Dragonforce fans say TTFAF is the hardest after playing those songs!

before GH and Rock Band my little brothers favorite musician was Crazy Frog... now every time I wake up he's singing Detroit Rock City. 8)

Guitar Hero is such a fun game. Best songs on the game series IMO are.
Rock You Like A Hurricane - Scorpions
Cliffs of Dover - Eric Johnson
Holy Diver - Dio
Electric Eye - Judas Priest
