Post Into The Night cover! (Ryan, StringKiller, Pao)
Here it is. Finally!

If you guys have noticed, the rhythm guitars sound a lot different from the lead guitars.. That's because I recorded the rhythms a long time ago (like a month ago) and the lead just recently. Funny though, I didn't change my settings..

I HONESTLY think I didn't do the song justice.. But Ryan and StringKiller kicked ass so much! I was even thinking of asking MDuCran to do the solo or something but maybe next time eh? :D

Hope you guys like it!

Drums - By Lamer
Guitars - Pao (Rhythm guitars with drums mixed by Lamer)
Vocals - StringKiller
Bass - Ryan

The playing is great, for most of the part, bar a few odd sounding bits, as well as the singing, I do think the vocals could come out a bit more... Naturally at some parts, I'm not sure though.

And you're right, the lead came out pretty different, it sounded crazy, in some way... :)

But a pretty rockin' cover man.

Good stuff guys.

I'm gonna have to agree with teh Zae though...some bits were a bit weird at times and whatnot but overall a very good cover. 8)

Great work :D! I only think the vocals sound a bit power metal-ish at the beggining of it but, nevertheless, great cover.

wth it was really cool!...

I like the singing... but I think when it comes to singing the loud parts like the second "into the night!" or "slipping through the stratosphere" you should maybe try to scream louder and heavier... it was a bit too soft on those parts lol...

loved it though, what I liked the most about it is the clean recording... the old R X albums are soaked it reverb :(

That was awesome!

The singing my me laugh at some points.

Like "they better not tangle with me" sounded like opera by a posh englishman.

But I couldn't do half as good as that so no complaining! :)

Good job with the guitars too, awesome!

Paul

StringKiller: Great singing ! I think the double layer vocals is not that super though :/ and then that lovely screaming that i just sooo love in this song get hammered away with some noise gate! and you should do a real falsett scream there in G! But overall its really good! Sounds Jeffish :D

Pao: Wow i thought it sounded really orginal pg in the beggining! The sound is allitle to dry and low disted for my taste thought... And you to, that Jeffish scream on the guitar you could make it better :)

So awesome!!!

The vocals are very Timo Kotipelto-esque (the Stratovarius singer).

And those "odd sounding bits" are actually ENHANCED bits - things you have never heard on the original version due to the heavy reverb

Thanks very much everyone!! 8) StringKiller's accent really adds a punch to the vocals IMHO :D I'm digging it! Ryan did a very excellent job. And to think he hasn't picked up his bass in the longest time, he can still play somet KICK-ASS  8)

Anyway, if only we had more vocalists in this board, then we could finally do that RX board CD with the covers in em 8)

yeah... I can sing properly, but I never do because my vocal range is too small... I can sing any song in my own voice, I'm good at singing... but I just don't have the natural abilities to be a good singer

my range simply sucks, I'd be singing everything lower or higher than what it's supposed to be

VERY nice work guys! Like mentioned; some parts sound a little off, but I've done computer-recording for some time myself, and it's pain-in-the-ass-concentration-work from start to finish. The guitars are great, and the vocals are awesome! Great shit guys! :)
