Thanks, but it wasn't really necessary, I'm honored that my PGA1000 is shown in the list.
It helps to prove how rare the PGA is, cause some of my friends think I'm kidding when I tell them about its rareness

The 800 says Japan only but it was available in England for £1299 I'll have to do a little more research, but I'm pretty sure the 800 was susposed to only be available for the Japanese market. It's possible some dead stock made it to European distributors for sale in certain stores. I'd like to know if it was ever advertised in any of the European catalogs. I'm pretty sure that I have an old Ibanez catalogue with the PGM800 in it. I'll see if I can dig it up from my vaults, which should indicate European availability - it would be pretty silly having it in your catalogue and not sell it...
Cheers

Since it never was offered to the public I don't think it has a specific model name. It is a custom shop PGM.
Looking at the serial number it was made in the LA custom shop in 1994.
STREET-LETHAL on this board sold one for a friend earlier this year calling it a PGM 550.

As ridiculous as this may sound, there aren't many guitars I'm scared of playing, but this is one of them

VERY VERY STRANGE PGA1000 whit 24 frets...The pickup-Fishman is not the same of the PGA1000MB...The Eddie's PGA1000TR is the same of MB guitar...Your PGA is little strange ...Maybe a proto model released by Ibanez? IVAN

lolz.. ..but the answer to your question is "no" i did not use any photo editing software. she really has 24 frets: pix ( #1 #2 ) and the issue date of my PGA1000 was 1998. i found this Part's list from Ibanez.. there are actually 4 different PGA1000 models.
1. PGA1000-MBL (1998 model) EQ/Control (AEQ-3V w/ "Fishman Equipped")
2. PGA1000-TRD (1998 model) EQ/Control (AEQ-3V w/ "Fishman Equipped")
3. PGA1000-MB (1999 model) EQ/Control (Prefix plus)
4. PGA1000-TR (1999 model) EQ/Control (Prefix plus)
i think the MBL and the TRD are the 24 fret models while the MB and TR are 22 fret models.

It's still only two models. The red and blue guitars are listed separately, as well as an individual listing for each year. The color code just changed from 98' and 99'. MB & MBL = Marine Blue; RD & TRD = Transparent Red. I've looked that particular parts page over before. The only listed difference in the two years is the Fishman transducer on the 98's, and the Prefix on the 99's.
Does your guitar have the label in it? I'm just curious if it's possibly marked differently. Maybe you can take a picture if it. Also, how much fingerboard hangover is there at the sound hole? --Jason

my guitar has the serial number # S801xxxx here are some more pix:
Label: Artwood Handcrafted/Ibanez Guitar
notice the abalone double slash on the 12th fret then from there count the frets. they are exactly 24.
it has a total of 11 split block inlays.
