Doesn't Zakk Wylde have longer hair than Alexi...??

I would also like to see that guys tabs, even though I have every Racer X song already. I wrote my own versions of a few songs the other night in GP4, full band scores.

Simple solution. Since this is the official Racer X fan site, have the webadministrator here send Paul Gilbert an e-mail, have him look over the powertabs, see if the full composition transcriptions are published anywhere else, and which are not, and then give his official stamp of approval to those files that he legally can. End of story.

Sorry, but I really don't think PG has time to waste looking over his own tabs on the internet... he's already said that he plays mostly by ear and doesn't transcribe stuff so remember that he doesn't write the japanese "official" tab books himself. They already have a TON of Racer X tabs on the site made by fans.

So I guess he approves of the transcriptions on this site on general principles then?

Well, if Paul's not in a frothy rage, demanding that the tabs be taken down, then I guess its all good in the cyberhood...

You don't get it.

Paul doesn't check the tabs.

They're not infinging any copywrite laws because they were not copied from a book that's avaliable for sale. Just like I can upload any tab that I've sat and worked out.

Thanks Doc.

I have updated the original post. Hopefully it's more clear. If not...by all means ask, no question on this is dumb...unless I already posted the answer and you didn't read it...then we'll be merciless! LOL

As long as I don't get it in the end, I'll be alright...

Well that's what the TAB thread is for. I do all that stuff so I can get more accurate tabs with my aquired knowledge of Paul's style.

Unlike the Japanese books where the notes are ok but all the fingerings and rhythm's/phrasing are off etc.

1 tab that I can garantee is 100% perfect is the Street Lethal intro but yet, noone seems to play it like that. Oh well.

...I play it like that.

Thank you.

You think you'll ever finish the tab? :)

Nice to hear, it'll definitely please Paul, that's for sure.

Might end up finishing it one day but I was just wanted to tab that intro because there were no correct versions on the net. The rest of the song is pretty accurate on other tabs except the solo so it's not really a priority right now.

I love that riff. Classic Paul, classic Racer X.

Who's The Reaper? Should we fear him? (the soundclick link)
