Start wiring....you don't have to wire to the bridge. Just have about 1/2" exposed under the bridge and when the bridge is mounted, you will have your ground ;-)

That's it?
I don't have to solder to the bridge, just mount it and the wire will hold?

If that's the case, it will be done today. 8)

I feel like shit I didn´t give anything... :( I thought but I don´t have spare parts and also shipping from venezuela would be very expensive.... well even that I feel I should´ve done something for a racer x comrade..

Well,.......... i couldn't wait a week for a Gotoh bridge, so i mounted the Dimarzio bridge that was sent to me.
It's a brass bridge, string through.
It actually looks very good. It will also add mass to the body making for more sustain.

Off to wire up the pickups.

Wish me luck.

Pictures to follow.

That Dimarzio bridge should work just fine. You're right about the extra mass too. It'll definitely add some sustain. Plus with it being polished, it matches your tuners! I can't wait to see the finished product. I just know this guitar is going to be something special. --Jason

Well.......got some bad news.........the Dimarzio's bridge has too wide of a string spacing.
The one that i need has to have a 2-1/16 string spacing, this bridge has a 2-3/32 string spacing. That is too wide. The E strings were on the very edge of the neck. I guess i will have to wait for the Gotoh  .

Oh well.

One thing...........the guitar weighed almost as much as my old maple body Kramer pacer that i used to have in the 80's with the brass bridge mounted. This guitar should have some awesome sustain even with the Gotoh.

Thanks Eddie.

I have a gold Gotoh hardtail bridge on order. I should see it this week.
I have a good buddy that works at a local music store(local being 25 miles north of where i live) who ordered it for me and i can pay when it gets there. ..... the kicker.......only $35 for a GOLD GOTOH HARDTAIL BRIDGE! He is also going to throw in a few sets of Ernie Balls when i go and pick it up. He's a pretty good friend.
Here is a recent picture that i posted on myspace first, only because the forum was down.

notice the three holes below where the strings go through the body.

yes i drilled holes into the body to mount a bridge that had too wide of a string spacing. i found this out after the bridge was mounted and the guitar was strung up......... i was pisssssssed off. the E strings were on the very edge of the fretboard..... gggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

oh well....to live is to learn.... i guess.

Ahhh...who cares about the 3 extra holes.....they'll be covered by the Gotoh. Plus, this is a Frankenstein Guitar, right? It's supposed to have odd marks and scars ;-)
