Post Favourite song on Second Heat
Here we go again... Here's your big chance to make a difference Lady Killer fans... Gone Too Far is my choice edging out Motorman...

BTW I edited this post to include two great songs that just didn't fit anywhere else: She Wants Control and Set The World On Fire... It's criminal they haven't appeared on a studio release yet...

I voted Motor Man. Not that I don't love Lady Killer, but Motor Man is more definitive if I had to pick any one Racer X song (don't get started on the "play this, play that" thing...I think we've all had enough). Same as for Street Lethal, but with TWO guitars. The live solo is definitely better in my own opinion.

Gone Too Far is awesome as well. One of the best RX riffs and lead sections (that arpeggio!!!) but I think Motor Man is a stronger song for me overall.

Motorman...KILLER tune. The song is Jeff.

But my favorite (no U in the USA) is the song that IS Racer X....and is written about Racer X.

Hammer Away.

I didn't vote.

Reason being is that I don't have a favotite tune from the band. All get my blood pumping in some way or another. Hammer Away and Livin The Hard Way are among the top of my ALL TIME favorite tunes, by any band, period. I remember a band I used to roadie for who had the chops (kinda) like the X men when I was a high schooler. They used to play a cover of Livin The Hard Way and it was wicked good. I still remember seeing how that chorus riff was played. Man, that looks like a fun tune to play.

You forgot Scarified in that list, but then again you probably knew everyone would pick that.

I chose Hammer Away. It was a close tie-up between that and Motorman though. If Scarified was on the list, I'd go with that though. I love that tune, even if the mixing on Second Heat was sort of bogus.

“Living the hard way” has the coolest syncopated riff ever written. Paul should get an award just for writing such a hard song. “Hammer Away” is just as cool too. Man, the whole CD is amazing. That to me is their landmark CD. The song “Sacrifice” says it all.

I couldn’t decide so I voted for “Living the hardway”

Shred!!!, you suk!! I can't pick a favorite. I love them for different reasons. It was my second RX cassette and more advanced than Street Lethal. Sacrifice is a great tune for intro, solos and the overall melody. Gone Too Far, who did that kind of rythym then!?! Hammer Away is the song that means Second Heat to me. Heart Of A Lion is amazing. The harmony solos!! I can't define *The Best* song on this.

I forfeit. :)

TOugh Choice between Motorman and Gone too far.

GONE TOO FAR won....that is probably the best riff Racer X has ever written.
