Good! At least it's going to someone who knows it's value, I'd hate it to go to someone whos just going to sell it

Nice Buy :D

Thanks to all for the positive feedback. Finding this board is the second coolest part of this experience.

(Come on - getting the guitar has to be #1 :D )

Best,

NL

PS The wife is pretty darn 8) though!

To Melody and Playius,

WELCOME to the Racer X board!!!

First, I salute you for winning Bruce's guitar! It just shows that no journey is too great, when one does end up getting what he seeks.

A few months ago I made a deal to sell Bruce's instructional video guitar to a guitar teacher in Toronto who viewed this guitar as his 'Excalibur'. I knew how he felt receiving the guitar, and I know you'll be feeling the same way when you receive yours.

I'm glad it went to somebody who has a connection with Bruce.

I'm definitely willing to get together when you come down for next year's NAMM for a photo session. I've got a professional digital SLR camera that I can use to get some great shots of them together. Come to think of it, I don't even think Bruce ever HAD both of them at the same time. Maybe Sean can verify....? If you can bring it down, I'd like to invite Mike (aka TheSurgeon) to bring his Racer X guitar he got from Paul over, to add to the shots.

Congratulations to you, and I'll say how cool it is that your wife is so understanding of your drive to land the guitar!!

Talk to you soon.

John

Well I have the place for it. I am in charge of marketing for DigiTech and the other Salt Lake Harman brands, so we could do it at our booth. It would be cool to see these guitars together again...or for the first time.

Looking forward to seeing everyone! I can name about 10 of our endorsees who will be orange and pink themselves to see these in person.

Best,

NL

Sounds cool to me. But if we're going to do it at NAMM, somebody's gonna have to get me a pass.

Playius and EKG,

That sounds great! And if James Sawyer (the teacher I sold Bruce's instructional video guitar to) happens to be coming down for next year's NAMM, I'll invite him as well to bring the guitar to join in.

I'm so there guys! But we'll all appreciate any help in getting passes. My best buddy who used to work for QSC Audio and Line6 was my NAMM connection for years, and he left the music business last year, which left me out of last year's NAMM.

I'm sure most of us would be happy to pay the fee for each extra pass that could come our way. I think they were $150 last time I checked.

If not, I live very close to the Anaheim Convention Center, and I do have a very nice guitar rig if you'd like to come over and plug in. We could have a BBQ, and check out some of the never-before-seen Racer X video footage.

Sounds good? Let's make this happen guys! NAMM '06 party in SoCal!

John

If you can pull that off, I'll owe you big time. (and of course I will reimburse you for whatever the pass costs). I've been trying unsuccessfully for years to get a pass to NAMM.

If you wanna make the trek, I'll pick you up and put you up. Just foot the bill for the plane ticket. Done deal. It looks like it may turn into a party worth trekking for.

I'm planning on visiting England if not this year, next year for sure.
