Sorry it took me so long to update this. It was still in the same year... just ;)

Thanks to all who contributed, especially The Surgeon. Have added a bunch of UK and other mags with interviews to the list. I'd be willing to scan some of these for distribution. Anyone else able to?

Dave

In the summer this year i chucked away ten years of Guitarist magazine because they were taking up to much room. After i done it i said to myself "why dident i keep the gilbert stuff". There has been loads of interviews over the years in that magazine.

I do have gear reviews though. I have GH50L review and a PGM800 review

I've been getting requests to scan all my Paul Gilbert magazine articles. Sorry, that would be too much work. But I did take the time to scan and upload the Guitar World "Killer Driller" article from 1988. Click on the thumbnails for full size scans.

A couple of what I think were really important issues(as they had cd's with exclusive? tracks) are
Guitar techniques(uk mag)july 2000 The track is called Pablo Wablo
Guitar techniques August 2000 Track called ... wait for it ...Return of the son of the son of screaming blues-o-mania(slight return) haha
Guitar techniques Sept 1994 had a style file(PG on the cover)
Guitarist (UK mag)August 1998 ( with exclusive track on cd)
Guitarist Nov 1998 had another exclusive track on the cd
Guitarist April 2003 has Bliss inc an intro from Paul on the cd

Young Guitar(Japanese mag)August 2002 (has the 100 guitar rock DVD)
Young Guitar July 2002 ( has Paul accepting awards on the DVD)

Record Collector March 2004 Had a good Shred Feature (PG on a full page with history & recordings etc)

I have a loft full of Guitar worlds/Guitarist/Guitar techniques/Total Guitar/Kerrangs/metal hammers/RAW magazines from way back & I plan to catalog all of the PG stuff when I can get round to it
Hope this helps so far

Hey Surgeon, was that the mag that had the guys from Whitesnake on the cover? Vivian Campbell, Adrian Vandenberg, & Rudy Sarzo? Dang! I used to have that mag, too! :x

Not sure what you're refering to. If you're talking about the Guitar World issue with the Killer Driller article, no Steve Vai is on the cover (if I remember correctly ... I'm not at home right now ... in the doctor's lounge in the OR waiting to start a case). I do recall a GFTPM issue with those guys on the cover ... don't remember if that one had a Paul Gilbert article.

Hmmm. I might still have that one, too. I'll have to get ready to dig.

Hi,

Well, I started trying to scan some of these... unfortunately I only have my works grayscale scanner/photocopier, but apart from the lack of pretty colour in the pictures, they're ok.

I've scanned the Guitarist July '91 (2Meg zip) and May 96 (1.6Meg zip articles.

Anyone want these? Anyone Willing to host them?

Dave
