Post !!!!!official jason becker tribute thread!!!!!
Im sure everyone here knows who jason becker is and if you dont you gotta check him out www.jasonbecker.com

After his first solo album "Perpetual Burn", and his work with Marty in "Cacaphony",he unforunatley came down with ALS (Lou Gehrig`s disease). At the time he was on tour with David Lee Roth. he is not able to play guitar anymore due to this devestating disease. ALS It’s a neuromuscular disease and there is no cure which means he is unable to play guiatr anymore.

basically i made this thread due to lack of pages on jason becker and how he deserves more people to know about his work/ his guitaring is just simply amazing!!!!!, if you have anything, tabs, articles, interviews, exercises, rare vids, or links/anything backer post it here!!!

thanks[/img]

Many people here know of Jason Becker. Hell, Ive got a picture of him as my avatar (thats been there a while). He certainly doesnt get enough credit in public, but he's widely considered one of the best guitarists around on music boards that Ive seen.

Btw, does your name refer to Chuck Schuldiner?

One of the best musicians to grace the earth.. He was a true composer.

I've got his picture covering half my bedroom reminding myself how crap I actaully am.

Do yourselves a favour and buy his instructional video if you've not already.

And send him an Email.. let him know how cool he is and how many fans he has, and wish him the best.

The fact that Jason Becker to this day, keeps such a positive attitude almost brings tears to my eyes. If he isn't an inspiration to you, no one is. I LOVE the guy! When I heard him for the first time in the late '80's before he got this disease, I truly thought he was one of the very best at aggressive neo-classical "shredding". Just watching that video that Carnflab talked about makes me want to never give up music, or guitar.

Beckers stuff is insane.

I wasn't intrested in sweep picking until I heard the intro to perpetual burn and just thought

He's one of those players that just give you a kick up the ass when you first listen to them and remind you how much more practising you need to do

Jason is really a miracle. To survive and hold on for that long is amazing. He is an inspiration to me for not just guitar but for everything.

When did you write him to make this picture? Everytime I think about sending some kind words his way the website says only to write if it's really important or if you're sick. I just never want to bother them.

Well, aside from the ones that are on his site, there are a few at Powertabs.net, but not many.

WTF? :? Just trying to tell you where you can find some JB tabs. Unfortunately it looks like the tab items are down on that site.
