 PAUL at GIT
Jul / 15 / 2004
MI is extremely proud to welcome back GIT alumnus and former instructor Paul Gilbert for a series of Open Counseling and Private Instruction sessions. On four consecutive Wednesdays beginning July 21, Paul will offer lessons to individual students on a signup basis, and during open counseling he'll jam and answer questions in a small-group setting.
Paul is widely considered to be one of the finest rock guitarists of his generation. Since graduating from GIT, his highly successful career has included CDs and numerous tours with Racer X and Mr.Big as well as several solo recordings and best-selling guitar instruction videos. Recently, MI Japan recognized Paul for his exceptional popularity in that country by bestowing the title of "Honorary Dean". GIT is glad to bring him back to his dear alma mater!
dam I want to go

Its GIT which is like 30 grand per semester or something like that, its the world renownd guitar college. Paul went there and then taught after he was done.
I got 2 friends going there for guitar tech, then they want to go for guitar after. I might head there for guitar classes after I get my major in film and minor in music done first.
My friend taught at BIT and he said everyone there kicks ass, tons of great musicians everywhere.
and I think this is the only guitar college to promote/teach technical guitar/shredish styled stuff..or so Ive heard. I dont think you can learn that stuff at berk

Well considering that Joe Stump teaches at Berklee, I doubt that. But anyways, why would anyone go to college to learn how to shred? You can do that shit on your own. Don't need to sell a kidney to have someone teach it to you. I guess it's mostly the atmosphere.

I´m going to L.A, in the second half of the next year...
I´ll try attend to GIT! Right now I'm almost done with
university and I´m still raising some money for the trip.
I just hope that Paul have some free time to teach
some stuff there at the time...!
