Just curious...anyone have one...or played one?? Im thinking of investing into one...

JP isnt really a huge influence...I just think the guitars look so awesome...with the picasso graphics...

I by no means will get this aytime soon....I probably won't ever get one...but I'm just curious....

No sir, sounds kuul though....BTW, have you ever heard of Caparison Guitars!?!?!? Pete Lesparence (Harem Scarem..an awesome player, very Melodic and his phrasing is incredible!!) uses them....The have HUGE tone and wonderful sustain as is....I read somewhere that the people from Jackson Guitars formed Caparison....they use oblong clock inlays etc. and Mr. Ekhlund (sp.??) is prob. the most famous user of these gits....

JPM's are nice. i played one once, it was great. i still think John's Ibanez models are way better than his EB's.

I think his Ernie Ball model is pretty fugly. I'm sure it plays nice, but I wouldn't own one due to its looks. I liked the Ibanez JPM models.

JP isn't my major influence either but the Aussie Ibanez rep from a few years ago gave me one to try and the pickups sounded great with my Dual Rec, and I liked the bound neck. I used it a lot on my last disc. It's the P4 army colored one. Nice guitar though.

I agree about the post about Caparison. I tried some great ones on my last trip to Japan and they're a purchase hope for my next trip.

The EBMM Petrucci is ugly, agreed. But I played one a few days ago and It played very nicely. I wouldn't mind using one to do recording, but live... well, that's another story.
