Post BEST AMP PERIOD NO QUESTIONS
Hi guys. Just a little review on a great amp , it may be a little long but it will answer alot of questions. I have been playing guitar for 4 years played with many bands and have done many gigs. Im 18 and some of my influences are van halen, satriani, vai, Paul gilbert, Andy Timmons, eric johnson, ozzy, you know the guitar greats. I can finally nail every satriani tune and after many 10 hour a day practices I finally am at a great point in my guitar playing where I can play everything I have always wanted to play. Anyway, after 3 years I wanted a huge amp so I bought what i thought would be THE HOLY GRAIL a mesa boogie Triple rectifier head and cab. After 6 months with it I relized it wasnt for me. Its great for nu metal and that metallica stuff but I swear I couldnt nail any of those satch or gilbert tones , hmm wonder why they dont use mesa boogie heads. Any way I sold the head and heard that Gilbert and Timmons use the LANEY VH100R. I took a chance and bought it. HOLY SHIT!!!Best amp I have ever played, before I tried evrything I could get my hands on mesas, marshalls, bogner, you name it. This amp nails racer x tones like nothing and I can dial in the most creamy thick leads known to man. I used it at my bands cd recording tonight and man did it smoke. I shreaded out the classic racer x tunes and busted some gilbert licks and told the guy to record it mix it and let me hear it. Oh my god was it tone heaven. Anyway I have been rambling too long, too much to say, I love this amp, feel free to ask me questions because I have tons of info!!!

I played about 35 different amps, and the Laney you own was the 34th and I had the check written for it...the Bogner Ecstacy, which I have now, was number 35. Once I heard it...I had to choose.

Sure, my band finished our 5 song demo so when I get the cd I will put it on the net as a MP3 file. I made sure to tweak my amp to get a sound I like and made sure to make it my own sound.I will try to post it my monday. Which songs would you like to hear, we have a funk song, a heavy ozzy type song,a modern rock incubus song. Well I'll just post the one with my longest guitar solo

I personally finally go thte chance to compare the vh100r next to th gh100l. And i have only 2 things to say. The vh100r is very sweet, and that more gain dosent = better tone. Imma buy one used soon as i find a decent price.
