Post Guitar Cabs
Hey, Im about to buy a carvin 2x12 enclosure to play my recently aquired Johnson millennium through but i dont think that it will give me enough bass response(i play a 7 string. So, I was thinking about buying a carvin bass encl;osure, probably a 1x15, to give me that extra oomph, But i was wondering, will it just give me straight ahead bass or will i be able to get good bass out of it without being overwhelmingly bassy?

Dude... I'm telling you, check out GENZ BENZ (2X12)G-FLEX CABS, they're AWESOME!!! Rivera also makes a very good 2X12 cab with lots of low end response (it's what Head and Munky from Korn use)... Don't do the bass cab thing not enough mids or highs...X

I have a Laney 4*12 (cant think of the exact number but i think its the one they recommend with the VH100R). It sounded great with my old Marshall amp and i nearly bought a VH100R to go with it but i ended up getting a Recto head.

They just DONT match at all :(

When i have some money im going to get a new cab but can't afford a Mesa cab (they're rediculously priced) so i might look into a Genz Benz one.

Post MESA OR CARVIN
mesas are the best cabs ive played. ive played the higher end almost boutique stuff too like soldano and hughes and vht.. i still like mesa the best. Basically as long as its well made and has celestion vintage 30s, youre ok.

THe best you can do is the carvin legacy, its birch, not plywood, the 4x12 is $500 new, the 2x12 is $329, and they charge $20 to ship the 2x12. Its solid as hell and has vintage 30s, sounds 99% as good as my mesa, and costs hundreds less. Beats the fuck out of any marshall too.
