Post What to do...
I'm gettin Groove Tubes...and I need help deciding what tubes to get....

I want ones with a nice dist, but with a warm lead tone....PG like...

PLEASE DONT POST UNLESS YOU ARE HELPING. (I don't wanna think someone is helping when they are just saying something about something that has nothing to do with this) Please.

I know that isn't the kind of comment you were hoping for but I couldn't help thinking about the quote from Paul Gilbert about getting great tone where he said something like, "well first thing you do is throw out anything with peavey written on it."

LOL...hey man...Im not rich....I barely could afford this...used on ebay for like 160....so...yeah....

If I was rich I would have a boogie, and I would have to start this trhead...bc I would have a aguy that did this for me....

But Im not so...I dunno which to get...but Im gettin Groove Tubes...bc all the others I've tried sucked....Sovteks were decent...

Post JJ tubes
I have tried Groove Tubes, i have tried soldano, mesa, ruby and electro harmonix. I have found that the best tubes are JJ/Tesla. In both my GH50 and my 5150 and my mesa 2:90 power amp, they just totally rule. They add a lot of warmth and organicness to the tone, very unique, but oh so right! Slash made groove tubes sound good, but I never thought they were great when i played them. www.thetubestore.com has great reviews and a great selection
