Post 2004 Wayne Charvel guitars: JUST GOT THE PHOTOS! Check it!
Michael Charvel just sent over photos for the website...check out the sick stuff he's putting out! Wayne and Mike are the MASTERS!

For those of you not familliar, Wayne started Charvel/Jackson, and is repsonsible for most of the striped guitar bodies EVH played in the 70's and 80's.

This snakeskin is hand painted by Michael Charvel, hence the cool looking clearcoat over the paint. Clearcoat over snakeskin looks rad!

Check out the flame maple!

Michael's hand applied flames. Michael is a very in-demand motorcycle painter as well, as you can see here.

Check out more at www.wayneguitars.com

Wow, those guitars are simply briliant! I love it! I especially like that Submarine and Tiger Stripe models of the George Lynch models...those would be the ones I'd order... I'll have to contact them either before my birthday or for X-mas gift to myself...and get the Tiger Stripe or the Submarine one...either way, the Lynch Model is for me, but they're all, all quite nice! Thanks! I'm bookmarking this site for future reference!
I like these better than the ESP models by far..

:D

He does make some nice looking guitars, but I wish he would just go ahead and license the Strat headstock design. I don't like that almost look, but hey that's just me.

Not possible. Fender has a court case in which they're trying to copyright the strat body and headstock. If that were to happen, the rounded strat shape would be EXCLUSIVE to Fender, therefore comapnies like G&L, Wanye, etc. would have to go to a more Ibanez style body.

Fender's not licensing ANYTHING, and haven't in a while now. They don't want anybody looking like strats.

Back in the 60's when Gibson put out the Firebird fender sued them over the resemblence of the headstock. thats why its backwards.
Makes sense why now they would want to do that for more money.

Yeah, your right about that, but they are still licensing to Warmoth and other parts companies, but those are different circumstances.

I guess custom made guitars fall under different rules than a production type guitar.

Jason

Edit: Although they did allow Charvel to make limited editions with Strat heads. They own them though.

If it is, they're keeping a tight lid on it. The PR department just released a press clip saying the company's not for sale.

Strange.
