Tony mcAlpine is a genius,
he does play with Virgil Donati in a progressive metal band called Planet X (check them out). I saw him when he was playing with Vai on the last UK Vai tour (with Billy Sheehan, and Virgil Donati who were also awsome) and i was completely blown away. He plays a lot of atonaly stuff and does it brilliantly, very unique player.....

I guess you slipped when posting this, happened to me a few times too ........lol..........

Incidentally, Tony recently left Planet X, apparently because he has too many projects going.

Tony was best solo. The planet X stuff IMO was not impressive nor was his work in CAB. I can only hope he goes back to his neoclassical roots and releases a solo CD.
but yeah...he's phenomenal. I saw him at the Jason Becker tribute concert and he was the best talent of the night. Better than Zakk, Friedman, Van Halen.

The dude shreds. And plays great piano too.

Pity his music is such crap. IMHO.

Maximum Security is such a classic but Freedom to Fly is my favorite. I love Box Office Poison.

TMAC has been one of my favorite players since I first heard him back in the 80's. I got to see him do a clinic in South Carolina in 1992 and he was amazing. I'm glad to see him playing Carvin now too! They're coming out with a TMAC guitar soon.

I love that song.
It came in a compilatory CD of Shrapnel (guess it was called "Metal Guitars"), that it was my first Shred cd.

Was blown away by that song!
