Post looking for a good amp...
really need help here. honestly i dont know anything about rigs, effects or amps and stuff. pretty much comfortable with my playing, i dont need any theory lessons (can play friedman, gilbert, timmons songs), but...i need help ..my tone sucks!!! all i got is a cheap practice amp (crate GX15, and it SUCKS). even if i put on aN IBANEZ DS7 distortion pedal and a boss compression sustainer (which i dont know what it does...) , I STILL GET A BAD TONE. i dont have friends who knows anything about guitars sooo... :( . ive been lurking around the website, and keep hearing about this good amp called LINE 6 spider. i watch their preview on the website where these guyz from slipknot or evanescence demonstrated. im not a big fan of these bands ( i bet i can play twice better than them), but im impress with the clean tone and the distortion they got. so im thinking about getting an amp. which one should i get? im into metal (like megadeth/king diamond) and of course gilbert/ other instrumental players. should i get marshalls, line 6 or mesa boogies, etc? other suggestions??? im going to GUITAR CENTER tomorrow for shopping...
