Having a compensated tuning system doesn't mean you can't vibrato or bend. It only affects how well in tune you are, especially during high fretted chording

Its not a matter of hearing it, its a matter of whether or not it really affects what you're doing. Unrelated to the earvana system, listen to how Alex Lifeson bangs the opening chords out of tune in Fly By Night. Sure, its waaay out, but it only really lends a color to the sound. I think the same thought can be applied in that it depends on what you're shooting for. I'm not knocking the Earvana system in ANY sense, I'm just saying its not a braindead obvious choice of an upgrade.

And the cheapo material its made of is a big tone sucker.
